product manufacturing information
hello! all,
i am very new to sw and the sdk apis. how can i get production manufacturing information (metadata/properties/attributes). what sw objects store this information inside a solidworks document?
please help. thanks in advance.

pmi data is a specific term for the manufacturing/dimensional/tolerance data that is stored in a 3d cad file.

i have not seen the apis intended to extract the machining info directly, but considering the rest of parameters like dimensions, tolerances etc you can get using modeler api as usual. i don't think that, for instance,hsmworks (the sw integrated low-end path generation tool) gets all it wants from a separate pmi. but, i will read more ground documents and then will try to help you.
