salt resistant concrete-swimming pool
i am designing a in ground swimming pool. river is nearby and has salt contents. any good salt resistant additive for concrete.
look here at the grace site:
you need to follow aci 318 requirements for the water cement and minimum compressive strength for corrosive salty air. i do not have my aci with me but i recall that a minimum compressive strength of 4000 or 5000 psi is required or water cement ration of 0.4 (you can find this in he front section of the code, sorry that i can not quote you the table). many engineers miss this one.
jae's recommendation is good one. i would recommend using corrosion inhibitor in the mix. the supplier will provide guidance as how many gallons per yard to use.
consider increasing the cover from aci minimums as well.

i recommend that you read this article as well. it has good information.
the addition of ground granulated blast-furnace slag to ordinary portland cement increases the resistance to chloride ion penetration ,therefore reducing the risk of corrosion of the reinforcement. your local cement/concrete supplier should be able to give advice.
we've used cementaid's everdure caltite admixture (
if the water is sea water, you might want to consider sulphate resistant cement for the concrete. often, there is a component. also you might want to spec a mininum cement content...
