where can i send drawings that don't load?
hi,
i have a dwg drawing that the library fails to load, yet autocad 2006 loads it without complaint. i get the exception "dwg object improperly read" when attempting to load the drawing into a db. to whom can i send these files so that the developers can have a look? i am using version 1.14 of the library.

attachment mechanism seems broken.
i have tried attaching both ways (ie from my machine and from a url) but neither works.
from my machine i get a strange socket error.
from a url i get "upload failed due to failure writing temporary file"
is it just me?
what does it mean "from a url"? what error does your pc exactly make?
check whether your browser's settings concerning javascript and vbscript are proper.
if nothing seems working, try from another pc!

click the attach button and you will see what i mean by 'from a url'. i have tried both mechanisms, and i have tried from ie and firefox. i have tried from two pcs. the error i get when uploading from my own pc is an http proxy error about a 'broken pipe'. i accept my proxy may be messed up somewhere. but when uploading from a url, i tried referencing a file stored on google pages, and the forum still wouldn't take it. in that case the error was the one i previously mentioned about being unable to write to a temporary file, which sounds like an internal forum error to me. the file is 3.5 megs and is a zip file, and the interface says that zip files can be in excess of 4 megs. i suspect it's not just me. i have tried emailing the file to , i hope it arrives.
maybe you can just provide the link to the google page from where you tried to attach the file, so that the dd developers can take it directly from there.

i received the following in an email from , which solves my problem:
our recoverfile() method will load this file using our latest 1.14.02 release. if you catch the exception thrown by readfile(), then you can call recoverfile to attempt to load the drawing in a protected mode that will fix errors.
