dimentions problem in import export using dwgdirect
dimentions problem in import export using dwgdirect
hi,
we have some issues with dimensions of the objects exported and imported back using dwgdirect library 2.7.1(also with version 2.2.0).
my application uses dwgdirect to import and export files to and from application. issues is that dimensions
are not preserved when a file is exported and import back using the library. i have tried this problem with 2.2.0 and 2.7.1 version of the library and behavior is same. following is briefly what i am doing in my code to import a file:
------------------------
oddbviewporttablerecordptr prec = activeviewportid.safeopenobject(oddb::kforwrite);
if (activeviewportid.isvalid())
{
prec->zoomextents();
width = prec->width();
height = prec->height();
odgepoint2d p = prec->centerpoint();
center.x = p.x;
center.y = p.y;
........
........
odgsdcrectdouble screenrect((center.x-(width/2.0f)), (center.x+(width/2.0f)), \
(center.y-(height/2.0f)), (center.y+(height/2.0f));
pdevice->onsize(screenrect);
........
........
pdevice->update();
}
------------------------
problem can be explained taking example of a rectangle which gets imported using the code below:
------------------------
cplineimport(const odgipolyline& lwbuf, const odgematrix3d* pxform, oduint32 fromindex, oduint32 numsegs, bool& outdosimplify)
{
..............
..............
case oddbpolyline::kline:
{
odgelineseg3d line3d;
lwbuf.getlinesegat(segindex, line3d);
if(pxform)
line3d.transformby(*pxform);
}
..............
..............
}
------------------------
above transformed lines are imported. but after importing above lines the distance between the points are not same as they were when they were exported. interesting observation is all the rectangles whose height and width are multiple of 50 doesn't have this problem. behavior os same with the files created in autocad.
i am attaching the two files one with rectangle of dimension 150pt x 150pt (rect150.dxf) and another of 160pt x 160pt (rect160.dxf) created in my application and exported to dxf. problem is encountered the file with rectangle of dimension 160 x 160, as its dimension are not preserved when imported back.
just to add, problem was not visible when prec->zoomextents() call is commented as in that case pxform matrix was identity. but this is fine with the files created in my app only. looks line zoomextents is changing the pxform matrix and lines transformed are not correct enough to maintain the distance between the end points. please find the text file(stats.txt) attached which mentions various values.
please let me know why there is a behavior mismatch between rectangles exported and imported using same method and also let me know how this can be resolved with dwgdirect 2.2.0 and also with 2.7.1.
thanks,
harsha
