hi,
we've come across a couple of drawings that are crashing in setuplayoutviews when attempting to vectorize a layout. i have been able to work around this crash by first calling database->setcurrentlayout and then calling setupactivelayoutviews. i would like to know if there's any side effect of doing this. (since we don't write the dwg file, modifying it isn't an issue.)
in both cases i have seen, the problem occurs in 2000 format dwg files and goes away if you save the file in 2004 format.

pdb->setactivelayout() initializes the layout (if it was not initialized yet and creates overall viewport for ps layout)
it would be interesting to see an example of drawing causing the problem.

thanks for the reply, sergey. related to this, do you know if there is a way to detect uninitialized layouts?
