tolerance on arc length
hi all-
i'm wondering if there is any kind of odd tolerance scheme referring to an arc length. my first instinct is to treat it as a linear value and tolerance accordingly, but i want to make sure there isn't anything i'm missing. i looked through the forums, and couldn't find anything on this.

arc length is a linear value.

i take it you are trying to apply tolerances on the drawing?
look up profile tolerances. these handle weirdness far better than linear +/- tolerances.

agree with tick for the question as posed.
you said in another post that you work to asme y14.5m-1994, take a look at 1.8.3/fig 1.26 and then look at the first few pages of section 2
if it's a more complex shape or similar then drawoh makes a good point.
