c.g. shift on freighter aircraf
c.g. shift on freighter aircraft
hi all i am working on a freighter floor and have to account for c.g. shift of the contents of the contains. do i use 5%, 10% or other. also, do i have to account for adjacent containers shifting in different directions. is there and certificating authority guidance on this. any information would be appreciated. thanks cs find a job or post a job opening there are no regulations relating to this that i know of. you need to be conservative and take into account the potential for shifting. this depends a lot on the design of the restriant systems and the loading instructions. i am aware of an faa rule of thumb being 5%. at the end of the day you have to justify your choice. nigel waterhouse b eng (hon's) can-am aerospace, llc, canadian aircraft certification centre |
