shell element results in sap 2000
i have a question, may be for some people very easy.
the results of forces and moments for the shell element in sap 2000 according to the sap maual are in "unit of in -plane length"what means this? . i am working in metric units, i made a very simple example ( simple suported beam with a concentrate load in de center) and i am not verifing the theoretical results.
apparently, for the stresses output ( s11,s22,s12) the results do not need to be multiplied for nothing.
