dxf using borland c++ builder
dwf using borland c++ builder
has anyone implemented dwf support using borland c++ builder 6? i am running into lots of build problems. whip is set up only for microsoft. if anyone has any advice on the easiest way to do this i would appreciate it.

not certain what you mean by dxf support - as in reading dwg/dxf formats and saving out to other dxf's?
i have a sample borland builder project using dwgdirect (version no. 12??) which i could send you.

you mentioned whip probably your question is about dwf? we ported autodesk's dwf toolkit 6 and our dwf export/import work on other than ms vc platforms too.

yes, has anyone ported autocad's support libraries to work with borland builder. are you willing to share them, or do you have any advice on porting them myself. i am running in to lots of errors.
open design alliance ported autodesk's toolkit to compile/work on a lot of platforms including bb 6.
dwf export/import from dwgdirect uses it.

do i need anything from autodesk's site? is there something extra from open design that i need to download? or did i just not link in the right open design libraries?
you can export dwf from dwgdirect having loaded dwg/dxf file or having created in-memory drawing from scatch. or you can import dwf into dwgdirect.
you need link only with dd libraries to do it.
(see oddwfexportex or odamfcapp samples)
btw, new autodesk's toolkit 7 (which is in beta for now) is promissed by autodesk to be cross-platform.

unable to open include file whiptk/whip_toolkit.h
whip_toolkit.h is included in dwfdrawobject.h. i don't see it anywhere. i thought we didn't need anything outside of the open design files. do i need to get something from autocad's site? do i need to get something extra from open design? where can i find this file? or should i just ignore this example as an advanced topic?

you need not compile dwfexport yourself. you have dd_bb6wd_dwfexport.lib (dd export) and dd_bb6wd_dwftoolkit.lib (autodesk's toolkit ported to bb6).
