how can i get the block id(oddbobjectid) if i have saved a block with the name "*d1"?
i tyied this:
oddbblocktableptr ptable = pdb->getblocktableid().safeopenobject(oddb::kforwrite) ;
oddbobjectid blockid =ptable->getat("*d1",true);
but blockid is zero.

anonymous block indices (digits after *d) are maintained by dwgdirect. you can specify the name as "*d" and digits will be appended.
safe way to access such blocks is to use objectid returned by oddbblocktablerecord::add() or stored in dimension entity.
