how to create the bitmap preview (gsbitmapdevice)
i was under the impression that i had to override the gsbitmapdevice method as per the mfc example. i added its secondary method to return a pointer and things will not compile.
rather than "trying to get this to work" can you please give me specifics to be done to get it working? project settings, lib files, header files etc etc because i can't get my app to compile.

you can implement it as:

pdevice.attach(new odrxobjectimpl<exgsbitmapdevice<exgsgdidevice> >);
}
you'll need to include exgsbitmapdevice.* and exgsgdidevice.* from examples/exrender/win into your project.

i added the files into the class and overrode the gsbitmapdevice method. i now get these compile errors:

i have resolved this issue. since the exgsgdidevice is inheritied from the exgswin32device class, i needed to include that in the application too. it now compiles and creates a bitmap preview.
