odamfcapp does not start.
odamfcapp does not start.
hi,
i have downloaded 2.3.1 and tried to run the odamfcapp.exe to see if a specific drawing renders correctly, however odamfcapp.exe does not start and instead gives the following warning:

this application has failed to start because the application is incorrect. reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
i am using windowsxp and have visual studio 2005 installed. i believe that the problem may have something to do with the manifest picking the wrong version of the mfc and crt dll's but i can't seem to build a version which chooses the version i have on my machine.
odamfcapp keeps building with a manifest that wants version 8.0.608.0 of mfc and crt dll's, while i only have 8.0.727.42. rebuilding did not change anything.
any suggestions how i can get odamfcapp working?

odamfcappdll.exe from dd_vc8.zip was build using vc8 sp1
(version 8.0.50727.762 (sp.050727-7600)
microsoft visual c++ 2005 77626-009-0000007-41760
microsoft visual studio 2005 professional edition - enu service pack 1 (kb926601))
it successfully runs both on systems with vc8 sp1 installed, and with only original vc8.
how did you read manifest?
mt.exe dumps manifest containing reference like:
"... name="microsoft.vc80.crt" version="8.0.50727.762..."

i had the same problem.
i intalled the sp1 for vc8 and the application run successfully.
