【转帖】can not set clip boundary type of wipe out objec
can not set clip boundary type of wipe out object
can not set clip boundary type of wipe out object
hi!
i'm making "find text" function and using wipeout object to mask text entity like this:
ptext->getboundingpoints(points);
odgepoint3darray bound;
bound.append(points[0]);
bound.append(points[1]);
bound.append(points[3]);
bound.append(points[2]);
odcmcolor cbackground;
cbackground.setrgb(0, 0, 255);
pwipeout->setboundary(bound);
pwipeout->setcolor(cbackground);
pwipeout->setdisplayopt(oddbrasterimage::kshow,true); pwipeout->setdisplayopt(oddbrasterimage::kclip,true); pwipeout->setdisplayopt(oddbrasterimage::kshowunaligned,tru e); pwipeout->setdisplayopt(oddbrasterimage::ktransparent,true) ;
defaut value of clip boundary type is polygonal. i want to set it is rectangle, but it seems that dwgdirect c++ does not support this. i found method setclipboundary on autocard:
setclipboundary(clipboundarytype type, const acgepoint2darray& unnamed);
but dwgdirect c++ does not have clipboundarytype :
oddbrasterimage::setclipboundary(const odgepoint2darray& clippoints);
how can i set clipboundarytype ? or is there any other way to mask text?
thanks!
if you pass 2 points as clip boundary than it would be rectangular.

hi sergey slezkin!
i've try to pass 2 point as rectangle, but exception occur at setboundary() method. how can i correct it?
code:
ptext->getboundingpoints(points);
odgepoint3darray bound;
bound.append(points[0]); //left top
bound.append(points[3]); // right bottom
pwipeout->setboundary(bound); -> exception
thanks for your reply!

oddbwipeout::setboundary() requires at least 3 points (3d points in wcs). it calculates origin, u, v, and normal.
to have rectangular boundary you can use oddbrasterimage::setorientation() and not set clipping boundary.
if wipeout already has non-rect boundary you can make it rectangular by passing 2 2d points to oddbrasterimage::setclipboundary().

settransparency problem
thanks, it works.
but now i have another problem with settransparency of wipeout object. i've try two ways but no effect:
code:
odcmtransparency trans; trans.setmethod(odcmtransparency::kbyalpha);
trans.setalpha(0);
pwipeout->settransparency(trans,true);
and:
pwipeout->setdisplayopt(oddbrasterimage::ktransparent,true) ;
this is a bug or i did somthing wrong?

oddbentity::settransparency() is a new method for new common entity's property introduced in latest autocad's.
raster image and wipeout are old entities and they may not use it. (also this property may be used depending on visual style or only while photorealistic rendering).
oddbrasterimage::setdisplayopt() for ktransparent controls if background of bitonal image is transparent. it seems to be not applicable to wipeout.
are you able to create in autocad (or arx) a wipeout entity like you want?
