reference mates
hi,
i am working on a program who makes some automatic actions like create parts, insert parts in assembly, open/close/save/rename the components and the assemblies ...
but i am loosing the possiblity to use the references mates, which is really interesting for me.
i have 2 problems :
- the first one is to create reference mates in a part which is automatically created with a macro. i didn't find any functions linked with this.
- the second is that even if i have a part with reference mates, i have to stop the program and ask the user to select the face where to put the mate. and i still didn't really managed to do that properly.
for now, i am using solidworks 2004.

there is a function in api for mate reference and it is insertmatereference. i just checked it out and its availability is from solidworks 2005
