spline class for ansi b92.1
this post was moved over to this forum at the recommendation of kenat.
i'm looking thru the ansi b92.1 spline book (table #3) and trying to find out if the profile tolerance needs to be compensated as the tooth thickness or space width. i believe that the book reads that the multiplication factor only applies to the ctt or csw. can anybody confirm this? i also need the para number and page if possible.

table 3, foot note (a) clearly states, class 5 tabulated value, other classes tabulated value times the various class multiplier.
the profile & lead errors contribute to the effective fit of a spline set, when comparing actual and effective tooth/space sizes.
