missing manifests win32 in 2.05.01

missing manifests win32 in 2.05.01
hello,
it seem that embedded manifests of the win32-builds (vs2007 at least) have been removed in contrast to prior versions.
did this happen on purpose? if not, i'd really like to see a patch, because this is causing trouble and i don't think that patching 3rd-party dlls is the way to go ;-)

manifests were removed on purpose. (to allow using libraries with both vc8 with and w/o sp1, depending on application manifest).
what trouble does it cause?
