dwf rendering on windows 98
dwf rendering on windows 98
my application displays dwf files correctly on windows 2000 and windows xp systems but empty on windows 98!
any suggestions? i am using a background color of white 0x00ffffff

i don't know any system dependence on systems for dwf
here is system requirements for autodesk dwf viewer:
microsoft® windows® xp professional or home edition, windows 2000 sp2, windows 98 se
96 mb ram minimum (128 mb recommended)
800x600 vga display or better
microsoft internet explorer 5.5 or higher

this looks strange, indeed.
can you as misha suggested let us know what exactly windows version this bug is reproduced on? i mean - 98se or original 98?
btw - 0xffffffff is white too, but you may cut off alpha channel manually, for gdi to work correctly. there is some inconsistency there.

i am using windows 98 version 4.10.1998 with 192 mb of ram. i believe this is the original windows 98 version.

i believe too that it is original. but it is fe not a se. windows 98 second edition (windows 98 se) was released on june 10, 1999.

the problem with dwf viewing empty also occurs on windows 98 se machines version 4.10.2222a.
i think there is a possible solution to this bug as vladimir indicated. something to do with the alpha channel.
i will try to rebuilt the dwfimport.lib.

whip spec declares wt_color as r, g, b, a defining a color by the red, green, blue, and alpha components.
i don't know any system-dependence restriction for using dwf. i guess you can interpretate dwf in your application any way and write system-dependence code.
dwf tollkit you can download from autodesk site.

it seems that your problem does not relate to dwf, so you need not to rebuild correspoding lib.

i believe my problem is definitely related to dwf import.
i say this because my windows 98 test machine views all my test dwgs successfully without any problems.
