how powerful is the custom object framework?
how powerful is the custom object framework?
i'd like to have a "custom" entity that "is" a oddb3dsolid entity. i'd like all oddb3dsolid entities to tell me when they are finished loading so that i can take the edge/face data and feed it into my own data structure so that i can perform boolean operators and whatnot. likewise on save, i'd like to be told each oddb3dsolid is preparing to save so that i can pull out the data from my data structure and fill in the oddb3dsolid for saving. however, i don't want to add "custom" objects to the database as in the excustobj sample...
i'd appreciate any suggestions on how to accomplish this...

i don't find a sample project for modelergeometry. is that only available to "founding" members? i had hoped to use the current modelergeometry.drx and sit a top it. i'd respond to load/saves and fill my datastructure at the same time.
