in dwgdirect by using oddb3dsolid can we write any kind of solid? here we have to input acis data and it will write the corresponding solid object. but how to write a sat data to give input to oddb3dsolid..
kindly help us in this respect. how to have the sat specification. if someone have it kindly forward it to me.
oddb3dsolid has functions for creating simple solids like createsphere(), createbox() etc.
oddb3dsolid, oddbbody and oddbregion have acisin() functions accepting acis data.
oddbbody also has static function acisin() which returns array of entities created from sat file.

to create a arbitary solid(suppose which consists of a nurb surface and two planes) we have to input the data(surfaces and planes). how give input to dwgdirect for such kind of solid.
the form of input can be can be some brep or some acis data.
question is oddb3dsolid doesnot take any brep input as it outputs a solid in brep.
also to support the input through acis data(by acisin method), how to create those data(stream). we need some specification(format) of those data, which acisin function will accept.
also there is a setmodelergeometry method in oddb3dsolid. please tell me about this method also..

brep is read-only interface.
the only method to create an arbitrary 3d solid is from .sat or .sab file.

why is brep interface read only?
i'd like to be able to generate 3d solids via a brep like interface. however its read only. is there any plans to alleviate this problem? or would my company have to be a founding (instead of sustaining) member to get access to those apis?
