wood rafter design using wfcm
i use the wood frame construction manual (wfcm) as a design resource when designing residential houses. my question pertains to the rafter span tables. how do these tables account for wind? there are some span tables that include a ground snow load but none that include wind loads. thanks for any input.

go to the afpa web site. they have some new publications for use in high wind zones.
