use of mortar with fiberglass fibers for laying concrete blo
can anyone tell me if there is any reason why you should not use a mortar that contains fiberglass fibers to mortar a concrete block wall? (i'm not talking about a dry stacked wall, but a wall with fully mortared joints.)
would the presence of the fibers adversely affect the bond between the mortar and the concrete block?
also, what compressive strength does concrete block typically have? are there different strength classes for concrete block?
appreciate any guidance/advice you can provide.
the lime in the cement will degrade the glass fibre so it is pointless using it.
concrete blocks are available in different strengths which will depend on where you are. call a local supplier and ask.
