universal beam designation
folks,
how are universal beams typically designated on drawings?
for example ub 356x171x67 or 356ub67?
where can i find information regarding how it is specified?

anyway the designation of ubs depend on the country
in australia 356ub67 would be a typical format but in the uk it is usually called up more like 356x171x67ub. the width in the uk is important as i think there are a few sizes that have similar weight and height but different widths.
i am just going of my 6 year old memory here as i dont have any uk stuff with me.
