默认 strengthing of existing column

strengthing of existing column
hi all
we have a project that is under construction, during construction we suspected that a column in a frame is overstressed, after checking it, it was true.
so contractor is now working on reinforcement work for the next floor slab, what is the best way to strength this column with minimum work.
column is concrete column
actual stress/allowable stress=1.5
floor height is 5.00ms and it is satisfactory to strength the first 1.00m under the slab
check out our whitepaper library.
depends on the load configuration. is it only failing in axial load? is there a large moment in the column?
carbon fiber reinforcing or increase the column section by adding concrete and reinforcement outside the current section.
add 5.0 m long angles to the four corners with hilti anchors to the concrete and welded straps as hoop/ties. then cover with troweled mortar/shotcrete/formed concrete cover.
can you post the column size, reinforcing and loads plus moment at top and bottom (using sign convention to determine single or double curvature)
dik
thanks all for your reply
the dimensions of column is 400mmx400mm
reinforcemnt is 16 bar oof dia. 20 mm
design forces from p-delta analysis is:
ultimate case of dead load+live load+earthquake x
max. n=-1620kn mx=147kn.m my=-8kn.m
min. n=-1549kn mx=154kn.m my=275kn.m
column is assumed to be hinged at foundation level
