stone arch lintel
i have a situation where i need to support a 6" stone veneer over an arched opening. we want the stone to "wrap" under the arch (ie no exposed steel lintel) its a very flat arch. nothing at each end to support the thrust of a true arch. is there any concealed system out there to support natural stone in this condition?

i have used cast-in-place concrete with a brick veneer arch/soffit. you line the falsework with brick that have anchors to engage the conrete. once the beam is cast and the forms removed all you see is brick. you will need a method of anchoring the stone into the concrete, but there may be a method out there.
