默认 seismic connection to pile cap

seismic connection to pile cap
i am planning to utilize precast concrete piles for a foundation in seismic design category c and ibc 1807.2.23.1.1 requires concrete piles to be connected to the pile cap by embedding the pile reinforcement or field placed dowels anchored in the pile cap for a distance equal to the development length.
field placing dowels make sense if it was a concrete filled pipe pile but a little labor intensive to drill and epoxy hundreds of precast concrete piles.
can anyone offer their experiences in making this connection with a precast prestressed pile without using longer piles and breaking up pile to expose tendons?
find a job or post a job opening
detail the top of pile with embedded rebar connectors such as lenton?
jae thanks for the suggestion, but i don't think that will work. after piles are driven to capacity, pile tops have to be cut off to proper elevation.
if the cut-off length is reasonably short, have the pile cast with deep preformed holes, an adaptation for your situation of this florida dot pile splice detail (see "typical splice before bonding")
any pile in spc c, should be embedded at least 18" and thus should have ample room for connection hardware/rebar.
i didn't get this from a code, just experience.
regards,
qshake
