pier design with sap 2000
i am trying to model a foundation for a 30 story building with a raft and piers using sap 2000. can anyone suggest any references for modeling such a foundation with sap ?
analyse your building frame with pin supports. obtain the reactions. now use thin shell elements to model rafts and apply the reactions. assign compression only springs to model soils. that’s the way i do it.
