particle board and moisture
i am reviewing a modular home that has several locations of floor failure. the floor is particle board. the owner claims that a leaking pipe flooded the under area and the moisture wicked up to the sub-floor. the sub-floor is separated from the under area by a 10 mil visqueen membrane. does anyone have links to infomation on moisture damage to particle board? does anyone have experience on this subject?
