hi,
does anyone know where the drift limits are shown in the code for external cladding and/ or glass. this is assuming that the cladding is separate from the lateral resisting elements.

assuming you are referring to wind drift (rather than siesmic drift):
i'm not sure that wind drift limits are mandated in codes ( i am referring to ibc 2006 ) as wind drift is generally considered a serviciability issue, not a life safety issue.
aisc has some recommendations that can be found in design guide 3 for steel framed buildings. i am sure other trade groups have recommendations for their particular products.
