open web joists in uk
guys,
are open web joists used in the uk? we have a project in dubai and we are trying to use dlh joists for a roof framing, however, during a meeting with a local steel supplier, it seemed that they are not used to such trusses.
can anyone give me more information regarding the use of joists and joist girders in uk?

open web beams (joists) are common but doing a search for dlh joists it appears what you call joists i would call a lattice joists. the first link is for a fabricator called metsec. the second two are open web beams, but i guess not what you are looking for.
