lrfd empirical bridge deck design
does anyone have experience with the use of the empirical method of deck slab design for bridges configured with main girders, floor beams and sub-girders? i have a 280' span bridge, with 120" deep main plate girders at 20' spacings, and an intermediate w24 sub-girder between each, at 10' spacing. the w24 spans 28' between floor beams. can i use the empirical method to design the slab at the 10' spacing?
