默认 loading for bowling alley on 2nd floor

loading for bowling alley on 2nd floor?
i got a project with a bowling alley on a second floor. any ideas on loading?
form equipment catalog i found on line, load is about 100 psf but instalation requires use of forklift.
thanks.
mike.
find a job or post a job opening
call the bowling equipment manufacturer and ask them what size forklift is typically used for installation. design the floor for that. be sure to post the forklift load on the drawing so the contractor can be notified what size to use.
does that cause noise problems on the adjacent floors, i wonder?
well, i will call to manufacturer, when owner tells me name of it. thanks for "not on drawing". i did not think of it.
and about noise problem, on the first floor is casino with slots and music and noise but itself.
thanks.
the ibc 2000 table 1607.1 point 7 lists bowling alley as 75 psf. i would guess the equipment is localized and more of a maximum. however, i do agree the forklift is the tricky scenario in this whole deal. i would hope you are using a cip system so you could get some good load sharing properties.
whymrg,
your main design criteria will be deflection. have your clients given you deflection criteria. it is normally very stringent.
