默认 load indicating washers

load indicating washers
what is the difference (if any) between a load indicating washer (liw) and a direct tension indicating washer (dti)? to me, liws are a general term where dtis are a specific type of liw. am i correct about this? i am just looking to gain a general understanding of this topic, so any/all input would be appreciated. thanks!

check out our whitepaper library.
i think they are basically the same thing, at least have the same purpose. there are a few variations on the theme of a washer which allows easy inspection of bolts for tightness, and i think different manufacturers call their washers by different names.
i've scanned through some aisc sites and i don't see where they differentiate between the two. rose by any other name....
have you tried on "welding, bonding & fastener" forum?
