load beam fabrication tolerance
dear members
can any one tell the structural fabrication tolerance that can be allowed on the jacking beam under gripper jack drilling system which is used in drilling modules on offshore platform.
during fabrication of jacking beam , some distortion of top flange is observed due to welding.
any guidance will be appreciated.
you might want to look at ansi b30. there is a section dealing with jack, load beams, etc., as i recall. it has been a while since i looked at it, but i believe there is a subsection dealing with tolorances.
