live load on walkway in elevated conveyor galery
gents,
please, could you suggest me some specific standard or publications where i can find some recomendation about live load to be considered on walkway of elevated conveyor galleries design, used in minerals material handling projects. i have doubt about to use of live load recipe like 200 kg/m2 recomended from ubc or onothers standards use in buildings.
i would appreciate your information

going by asce 7-98, minimum design loads for buildings and other structures, table 4-1, the correct live load is 2.87 kn/m2 (287kg/m2).
in australian practice we typically use the following conveyor walkway loads:
- 2.5kpa uniform load, or
- 2kn moveable concentrated load, or
- material spillage load (as calculated)
