默认 impact framing for exterior window

impact framing for exterior window
how do i determine whether a hurricane resistant impact framing is required or not for exterior window? i believe it depends on the distance to the coast water line. can you point me to a right direction? thanks,
check out our whitepaper library.
the applicable building code should give guidance on this. for example, ibc 2003, paragraph 1609.2 gives this definition:
quote:
wind-borne debris region. areas within hurricane prone regions within 1 mile (1.61 km) of the coastal mean high water line where the basic wind speed is 110 mph (48.4 m/s) or greater; or where the basic wind speed is 120 mph (52.8 m/s) or greater; or hawaii.
or if in florida - see the florida building code - fbc - someimes very restrictive
