how to calculate uplift loads?
i am drawing a patio cover and need help calculating the uplift load. can some one help me?
find a job or post a job opening
you need ibc. also call the building official and ask what the wind speed and category. ibc will explain everything.
i have an irc is it explained in there?
asce 7
what is it listed under in the ibc? maybe i can find it in the irc.
uplift is calculated via formulas spelled out in the wind sections of ibc/irc/ or asce 7. short of doing the math for you, you should have all you need except for what coengineer mentioned.
