how to calculate tension on threaded rod
pls help me how to calc tension on threaded rod on following condition.
hospital project (oshpd), seismic zone = 4 (0.45g), weight of trapeze (w/conduits) = 100 lb/lf, supported at every 8ft, one transverse brace at every 16ft and one tranverse + two longitudinal braces at 32ft.
width of trapeze is 3ft and length of rods are 5ft.
how to calc the tension on the vertical support (rod) at seismic restraint location?
