默认 holding down bolt design method

holding down bolt design method
hi,
i am involved in the design of a pressure vessel which has an unpressurised skirt at its base, and is subjected to overturning moments such that the vessel/skirt has a set of holding down bolts. (pcd circa 6000mm).
we currently use methods by dennis r moss in " pressure vessel design manual" but we are looking for an alternative to this procedure.
any sugestions or examples of other methods for designing these? i am looking for designs for individual chairs, chairs with compression rings, single and double gussets etc.
thanks in advance.

would bolts as used in bearings be of
interest to you for this application?
i assume your axis is vertical.
have not seen the model that is used
in pressure vessel design manual so
i am not certain if they are the same
or different. i know that the bearing
bolting technology takes into consideration
of combined loading ie axial, moment, and
radial.
not sure dimjim, but yes the vessel is vertical, and is subjected to a combination of vertical load, horizontal shear load, as well as a bm and possibly torsion.
we use two methods, an "equivalent area" method and an eccentric load method.
