foundation column ties
a commonly seen 鈥渟tandard detail鈥?for a concrete column or pilaster supporting a steel column with embedded anchor bolts shows column ties closely spaced in the top 8鈥?鈥?12鈥?of the column 鈥?presumably to enclose the anchor bolts. i can鈥檛 find the code reference (aci, ibc?)requiring this. can someone please point me in the right direction.
