flange line load due to roller
i need some help finding some reference material on how to calculate the stress in the flange of a c-channel due to a roller. we are using a c-channel made from plate as a track with a straight roller pressing on the flange. i'm concerned with the stress on the flange causing a failure and the door dropping.
aisc asd version, section k1.2 addresses local flange bending.
