默认 existing steel joists wnew drift load

existing steel joists w/new drift load
the new addition will be imposing a new drift load on the existing lower roof, composed of the following spec on the 1956 second floor plan:
penn steel 41000 j14 - 24" oc
(the "41000" could be "#1000")
i need to investigate the existing capacity.
i have the sji 60-year manual 1928-1988. in it, i have found sj-series from 1955-1959, and j-series from 1961-.
can anyone provide info on "penn steel"?
can anyone explain the 41000 (or #1000)?
thank you!
i am not familiar with that designation. however, i can reasonably conclude that the joists are 14 inches deep and they are spaced at 24 inches on center. however, the 41000 is perplexing. i can be the steel yield strength may be? not sure!
i have a copy of the sji 60-year manual 1928-1988. based on brief check, i could not find a desingation like the one you stated (41000 j14 at 24" o.c.). if you know the year of the building was constructed, this will help. call sji at 803-626-1995 and ask to talk with donald murphy. he has been of great help to me in the past. i am sure they/he can point you in the right direction.
i am sure some of the fellow engineers may shed more light on this.
good luck.
