sorry to take everyone back in time, i believe this topic has been covered in previously in:
my simple question is: does anyone know what if any testing has been carried out to check the code based approaches currently suggested by hera?

for those who don't recognize the references, the question involves australian and new zealand practice, but would also be applicable wherever.
i would also be interested in knowing the status. this has been hanging around a long time, but i don't think it has been comprehensively addressed.
