designing for crane
hello all,
i need to calculate the impact forces (horizontal and vertical) of a top running double girder crane system. are there any good references online that i can read or follow? anything in particular that i should keep in mind? all help is much appreciated.

i follow the nbcc, but after reading your post i thought i would check the official website of the canadian institute of steel construction, really didn't think i'd find anything but lo and behold:
it's dated, but you can download the "whiting crane handbook", third edition (1967) from this page of my website
