design cables for lifting heavy weights?
hi,i've been asked to design cables to lift amodular building(40,000 lbs)in canada.i realy don't know which code/referance i should follow?

in the u.s. i believe it is ansi b30 that governs on hoisting and rigging.
another good source is the crosby company. their catalog contains a large amount of information on wire rope/cables and rigging.
