does anyone know the r-value of a 12" thick fully grouted cmu wall. this wall is a basement wall.
using heat transmission of concrete as k=1.3 (w/m k), the r value is approximately 1.33 for 12" thickness (r = 1/c, c=k/x, x= thickness, 1(w/m k)=0.5779(btu/ft h f).
there's an hvac and a heat transfer forum if that's not enough info.
