cantilever flexible steel diaphragm
does anyone know of any code prescribed limits on using a metal deck horizontal diaphragm as a cantilever? for instance, a steel deck on a box type building with open front and 3 shear walls. i believe there are limits imposed on cantilevering flexible wood diaphragms generated from earthquake faliures but i have not come across any limitations for steel deck diaphragms specifically.
