camber length minimum
i have always used a 30 foot minimum on beam length in order to specify any camber. i believe this requirement appeared in the manual of standard practice in the 9th edition.
i cannot find a length minimum in the new 13th edition specification or code of standard practice. does anyone know where i can find a value on minimum beam length due to fabrication limitations and what the specifics are concerning the equipment used to camber the beam?
i've always heard that 25' was the hard minimum just because shorter beams won't fit into the machine. i know i've cambered more 28' and 29' beams than i'll ever re
