bridges in new mexico vs. texas or arizona
hi all,
i am wondering if anybody has any bridge design experience in new mexico. i am here in texas but i may need to design a bridge in new mexico. i have designed a bridge in arizona, which is a whole lot different from here. wonder if the design in new mexico is similar to texas or arizona. thanks.

off the top of my head, tx until very recently had some exceptions to d1.5 welded splice transitions that nm didn't, and tx has used welded field splices where nm doesn't. i've handled inspection for both so i've seen both sets of details, but it's been a while since nm, so i'll ask around.
*every* state has different standard details for diaphragms, crossframes, connections thereof, policies on welding to tension flanges.
who'd really know would be tensor engineering or other major detailers who have done work for both states.
