默认 bonding a steel pad eye to concrete

bonding a steel pad eye to concrete
i wanted to check to see if anyone has ever heard of someone using epoxy or some other adhesive to bond a steel pad eye to concrete... or is it just a bad idea in general.
has anyone seen this done? could it be done to within some predictable performance? what about constant tension loads?
for our application, we'll most likely have them drill into the structure and use epoxy anchors, but we were curious since drilling into an existing structure is usually not desirable.
thanks,

bad idea in general.
you'd only be depending on the strength of the adhesive and maybe a little bit of concrete, but there is no positive load path present if the concrete begins to spall.
best to epoxy anchor into sound concrete.

depending on the specifics, i might request/insist upon locating the existing bars... only really helps with massive or very thin structures. that said, if you were a thin wall structure (ie: tilt-up), i don't think we'd be having this conversation.
remember to be very careful about the selection of your epoxy! it certainly cannot be an acrylic based, and should probably be a speciality tension/shock/dynamic rated product.
cheers,
