bending in columns
i need to size a column and base plate.
the column will be free standing and will support a jib crane of 5m radius with a maximum load of 500kg with 180 deg rotation. the column needs to be 8m in height. the spacing between the jib mounting brackets is 1110mm. can anyone point me in the right direction. i need to show calcs.
